Lethal Injection

Lethal injection is now virtually the universal method of execution in the United States, with all but two of the 46 executions carried out there during 2010 being by this method. Of the 1,234 executions in the USA to the end of 2010. 1,060 have been by lethal injection, including those of ten women. The 1000th lethal injection was carried out on July 21st, 2009 at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville on multiple murderer Marvallous Keene.  A state by state analysis is below this is kept up to date.
They usualy start out with giving you an anesthtetic. Next step is to give you a paralyzinf agent (pancuronium bromide). Then they inject you with potassium chloride which interupts the electrical signaling which is essential to the heart.
